Charlie Villanueva to fans: Don't panic

We mentioned the fact that, after just three games, some fans are already pulling the plug on the season in yesterday's game notes post.

Well, it's not just lowly Pistons bloggers who have noticed: Charlie Villanueva went to Twitter (and all-caps to prove he's serious) to ask fans to calm it down a bit:

FANS LETS NOT PRESS THE PANIC BUTTON, THE SEASON IS YOUNG, WE WILL BE MORE THAN ALRIGHT, AND WHY WERE MILWAUKEE FANS BOOING ME

Of course he's right. Rip Hamilton has missed two-of-three games, Will Bynum has not played as well as he's capable of, Rodney Stuckey's had a bad shooting night and Villanueva himself is still getting back into game shape after a preseason injury, as well as an illness.

The results have obviously not been good so far, but this is the definition of small sample size.

The team will do what it does regardless of how calm people stay (or don't).

I'll just focus on keeping my rudder on an even keel.

I'd guess the Bucks fans were booing Villanueva for not being a Buck anymore. Too bad he didn't get off on Milwaukee like he could've. We'll just wait for the next time around.
