MLive.com Full Court Press: Stuckey put it together too late: If you watch the highlights of the game or see the final stat line of 21 points, six rebounds and five assists, you might be fooled into thinking Rodney Stuckey had a decent game. That was definitely not the case.
Stuckey did have an excellent fourth quarter, and deserves praise for leading the Pistons from down 20 points at the start of the fourth quarter to within one point in the closing seconds. Unfortunately, Stuckey was awful the rest of the evening.
Through three quarters, Stuckey was 4-15 from the floor with only one assist, but those numbers don't quite describe Stuckey's terrible shot selection. He had several ill-advised layup attempts in traffic, including an out-of-control reverse attempt along the baseline. He looked like he was pressing badly for most of the game.
Before the fourth quarter got under way, I was more than ready to concede to Patrick Hayes' idea that Will Bynum should be the starter.
