Kuester: Trust the System, Skid Will End

Freep.com:
PHOENIX -- After Sunday night's blowout loss to the Suns, the Pistons' losing streak reached five games, with a Wednesday night home date looming with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

The Pistons' defense has been solid, but the offense has been a concern in a 5-9 start.
That can be attributed partly to the absences of captains Rip Hamilton (ankle) and Tayshaun Prince (back) because of injuries.

For the first time this season, coach John Kuester questioned the effort of his team after Sunday's loss.
But Kuester wants to emphasize that players should fight the urge to try to do too much to end the losing streak. Just trust the system and your teammates, and things will be OK.

"That is an issue at times because guys want to win so bad," Kuester said. "They've worked so hard, and all of sudden they find themselves in a position where they try to do too much, and all we need to is understand what's important. And that is defend, run the court every time and play with the type of intensity for 48 minutes that I want to see us do and everything will fall into place."

Kuester said it, all right.

I believe in his system. I'm just waiting for Prince and Hamilton to get back. :bang:
