Pistons' Richard Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince go through light practice
By VINCE ELLIS
SALT LAKE CITY -- In a small bit of good news, shooting guard Rip Hamilton (ankle) and small forward Tayshaun Prince (back) got in a little work at practice today as the Detroit Pistons prepared for Saturday night's game at Utah.
Hamilton took shots for the first time since he sprained his ankle in the season opener. But he didn't run nor jump, so it doesn't appear that he's close to returning.
Prince took some shots and also did some light jogging but said he wasn’t ready for contact yet.
Will Bynum, who sprained his ankle against the Lakers and was noticeably slowed against the Blazers, missed parts of practice, but he is expected to play against the Jazz.
“It’s part of the NBA,” coach John Kuester said. “I think the thing our guys understand is one guy goes down, another guy gets an opportunity.”
