Pistons fans are well aware of the lovefest between former Piston Rasheed Wallace and his new town of Boston.
And according to the Boston Globe, you can add another name to the list of many who think the addition of the 6-foot-11 free agent will bring another title to Beantown.
"I'm loving Rasheed Wallace," Celtics small forward Brian Scalabrine said last week at a Massachusetts State House presentation for the team's Heroes Among Us program.
He was just getting warmed up.
"I'm incredibly psyched," Scalabrine said. "Winning championships is something I want to continue to do.
"I felt we were the best team in the league last year, the year before, and we will be the best team in the league this year. The key thing for us is limiting guys' minutes and being healthy. Our bench needs to be able to sustain leads or build them."
Wallace signed with the Celtics last month after 5 1/2 seasons with the Pistons. His time in Motown had passed, but many think Wallace's all-around game with limited minutes is just what the Celtics need.
"Rasheed Wallace, if I had to name one guy that I'd want on our team, he'd be the guy," Scalabrine said. "The way Doc (Rivers) uses power forwards, he's a perfect fit for us."
