Rose Q&A

On his late-game role: "I'm going to miss Ben a lot. He took a lot of pressure off me. I hope I'm the [late-game] guy now. I missed a lot of them last season. But I hope I learned from them."

On the Bulls' 2009-10 season: "We're going to be good. We just have to compete while we're out there and not think about the pieces we lost. Playoffs are the main goal. You want to get better each year. We want to get past the first round and get to the championship."

On becoming more vocal: "It's real important. But Kirk [Hinrich] is a leader. Lindsey [Hunter] never shuts up. But Lindsey is going to make me talk. I'm glad he's back."

On whether he'd help recruit free agents like Dwyane Wade or Chris Bosh in 2010: "I can't recruit nobody. But I would love if they came to my team. All of them are stars and veterans who can help us. I hope they want to play with me because of my game and not because I came up to them. But it's up to them."

I like that he's hoping that he is the late-game guy now and he expect a better next season. He wants more and isn't afraid of taking the responsibility. This is good.

He definitely can lead the Bulls.

I was impressed with how Chicago played against Boston in the playoffs, and I'm curious to see how well Chicago does this year.

John Salmons is a solid player, who should make up for much of Ben Gordon's absence, but I feel that Chicago needs to get another post player to backup Brad Miller, who's aging.

It's good Derrick Rose is stepping up, but he'll need those two elements on the team for the Bulls to build on their progress of last year, IMHO.
