W&G: LBJ Sends Personal Challenge To Teammates
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Many of the Cavaliers players and coaches got a message from Lebron James in the past couple days that proves the fire is burning stronger and hotter than at any time in his life.
It's become crystal clear that Lebron has felt a pain from this past series loss to the Orlando Magic, that has him motivated to levels he's never personally felt before, and has extended a challange to all his teammates and coaches to take every hour of every day this offseason to make themselves the very best they can possibly be for the coming season.
Apparently, the challenge has been issued to his teammates that they'd better be in this with him to the degree he's going to be taking on this offseason, and he expects them all to be focused on improving on all aspects of their games, and in the very best shape of their lives.
Lebron took a big step forward in terms of his leadership on this team in the past year, and the pain he'd experiencing right now isn't passing apparently.
From those I've been in contact with he hasn't been nearly the same person since the game six loss to the Magic. That his obsession with becoming his very best, and bringing his teammates with him as he begins to put together his training regimine for this offseason is taking shape right now, and he's making sure that his teammates are as single minded and focused as he is this offseason.
It can be seen as nothing but a great positive that he's seemingly in a state of mind of personal and team improvement, and has already sent a very clear and powerful message to his teammates that they'd better be right with him everyday out in Independence.
I think what this means is clear ...we will see a more determined, and more complete Lebron James out on the court next year, than we've ever seen in the past.
He's always been the hardest worker on this team, but, the pain from this loss is burning a fire in him that is to me, showing a life changing type of dedication that could propel him to the very highest levels of perfromance we've seen yet from Lebron.
If I'm Lebron's teammate right now, I would have recieved the message loud and clear. No excuses are accepted for next season. They'd better all be in this with the same dedication that he has set forth for himself ...and if they do, we'll see great improvments just from the status quo, let alone what improvements may be coming this offseason.
But, just thought I'd pass along what is right now, the most clear and determined message that Lebron has ever directed towards his teammates since he's been in Cleveland with the Cavaliers, that this offseason starts now, and every day better be another 24 hours to make yourself into the very best player you can possibly be for the coming season.
Lebron is man on a single minded mission right now ...his determination seems scary.
I was told by one person that is closer to Lebron than most anybody on earth that he's changed since the loss ...he's seeing a Lebron he's never ever seen or experienced before.
The way he said it lead me to believe that he's at a level of personal commitment that is now off the charts and he's basically in a state of mind of not ever being denied again, and is experiencing the pain that he's been feeling since our elimination every day.
