Artest Would Still Like to Fight Ben Wallace

Real GM:
In an interview with the Sporting News, Ron Artest admits to drinking alcohol at halftime of games during his time with the Chicago Bulls.

"I used to drink Hennessy … at halftime," Artest says in the interview. "I (kept it) in my locker. I'd just walk to the liquor store (near the stadium) and get it."

Five years later, Artest still is interested in fighting Ben Wallace.

"I see Ben, I'm on my guard now. I'm always in the mood to fight him. … I'll get suspended 10 games, 15 games (because) I'll just fight him right there. It won't go into the stands."

Artest also plans on becoming a professional boxer when his NBA career is over.

"I started training two years ago," he says. "In four years, I'm going to try to have my first fight."

ESPN:
"He said he wanted to fight me? You all need to check and see if he's still drinking," (Ben) Wallace said Wednesday night before Detroit's game in Chicago.

I guess Artest wasn't thinking about what he said. In four years, he'll be ready to fight?

He better not make boxing or mixed martial arts his second sports career.

Why didn't he go after Ben at the Palace back then?

Why bring this up now?

I'd like to see Artest put his money where his mouth is.

Jeez, Artest sure is missing a couple bricks in the head.

I'm glad he's not on the Pistons. I wonder how long the Lakers can keep him under wraps?

Artest is definitely a special character, but he's been great as a Laker.

No fallout in LA.
Anybody want some Magic Johnson?
