Philadelphia 104
Detroit 94

Box Score

The Pistons have lost their 12th straight game tonight.

This was their best chance to break the streak since the Sixers came into town, having lost leads of 10+ points in their last 3 games.

But the Pistons opened the first quarter flat, down 26-10 at the end and fell behind by as much as 29 points in the third quarter. They put on another late rally, though, and cut their deficit down to 97-90 with just over minute left in the game.

But they couldn't quite get over the hump.

Rodney Stuckey and Tayshaun Prince left the game in the first half with sore knees. Ben Gordon (20 points) and Charlie Villanueva (19 points) carried the Pistons offensively tonight. Richard Hamilton struggled, but revived a bit in the second half. Ben Wallace, Jonas Jerebko, and Austin Daye helped fuel the Piston come back effort.

The Pistons need to play with intensity, open games well, and play a full 48 minutes.

They're not doing it right now.

We'll have to see when they turn things around.
