Pistons.com Recap
Boxscore

The Piston rookies and Ben Wallace really stepped up. Wallace had 5 points and 16 rebounds (10 offensive), Daye had 13 points and 5 rebounds, and 22 points (12 in 4th qtr) and 5 rebounds for Jonas Jerebko, his best game in the NBA so far. :jam2:

Stuckey started out well in the first quarter with 12 points and finished with 21 points and 7 assists overall, though he did go a little cold down the stretch. Bynum had an off game, missing several shots and finishing with 14 points, 9 assists, and 3 rebounds. Villanueva had 11 points and 5 rebounds. The Clippers guarded him well.

The Pistons outrebounded the Clippers 26 to 21, but didn't get the defensive stops they needed.

Al Thornton did have 12 points in the 4th quarter and 19 points overall. Kaman hit big shots, too, finishing with 26 points and 7 rebounds. Baron Davis had a big game with 25 points, 10 assists, and 5 rebounds. Before Blake Griffin went down, the Clippers were my sleeper pick to make the West playoffs.

The loss is disappointing, but I see promise in the young guys. When the Pistons get back to full strength, they'll be all the better for the adversity they're experiencing now.

I hear that Gordon could be back for the Sunday game against Atlanta. Now Detroit can rest and prep for the Hawks.
